Buzz Hydro

Important note:

The Buzz Hydro designs for generating electricity from rivers is at the idea stage.
Nothing has yet been made.

But we are looking for a company that would be able to develop the idea(s) into prototypes and then into production.

So if you know of anyone interested, please use the Contact Form.

Why is a new Hydro system for generating electricity Urgent?

  • Fossil Fuels are destroying our Earth through Climate Change
  • We need to generate 100% of our electricity using renewable energy: the natural energy all around us – wind, sun and water – all the power given to the Earth by our Sun.
  • We need most electricity during our winters, when we need to heat our homes, factories, shops, etc.
  • We also need Green hydrogen – this can be made from renewably-generated electricity.
  • Non-equatorial parts of the Earth have most rain during their winters, so rivers tend to have a lot of water flowing in them.

The Solution…

  • Generate Hydro-electricity from normal flowing rivers!
  • No need for dams, pipes, screens, etc!
  • Get the Buzz Hydro Solution!
  • Using known technology in an innovative way!

We are now looking for a business with the vision and capability to take this forward.

Buzz Hydro means generating Hydro-electricity in almost all rivers and streams.

Basically, it uses a new type of undershot Hydrotor (waterwheel) which automatically adjusts to the level of the water for maximum
efficiency.

It does not need to have dams, leats, or any similar capital installation.

It uses existing technologies, but in a brilliant, innovative way.

There are a quite a few variations, which can match any local situation or need.
For all of the variations, it could be possible to use a turbine instead of a Hydrotor.

Used as a single Hydrotor:

Used as an Array of Hydrotors:

This is an example of an array of 6 x 3 Hydrotors mounted on a frame of which the height above the water level is automatically adjusted by means of the 4 actuators.

Used as a Parallelogram Array of Hydrotors

Used as a Pivoting Array of Hydrotors:

Used as a Pivoting Single Hydrotor:

Used as a Single Hydrotor between two Pontoons:
